Event description

BACK GARDEN BUSK, ROSECOT

You bring a picnic, we bring the (socially distanced) show!

West End Stars turned Back Garden Buskers Jamie Muscato (Les Miserables, Heathers, Rock of Ages, Bend It Like Beckham) and Evening Standard Award Winner Laura Jane Matthewson (Dogfight, Romantics Anonymous, BBC One’s Press) accompanied by acclaimed Musical Director Jo Cichonska (Oklahoma! An American in Paris, Fun Home) brought the theatre to Chorleywood in August, and the show was so well received that they've been invited back!

Join them on Sunday 6th September for an intimate performance which welcomes Heronsgate and friends, as they showcase their unique chemistry and good humour through a blend of showtunes, acoustic covers and down to earth charm – all in the setting of a beautiful local back garden!

Proceeds raised from the event will go towards supporting the Back Garden Busk team of freelance theatre makers, whose incomes disappeared this year. A portion will also go towards the hosts' nominated cause - on this occasion Carol and Marty Kristian have requested kicking off the fundraising for a new kitchen at Heronsgate Village Hall!

Tickets are extremely limited to ensure effective social distancing.

RUNNING TIME: Approx 90 mins plus interval

NEED TO KNOWS:

ARRIVING - The site will be open from 2pm and the show starts at 3pm. There will be an interval.

TICKETS - There will be a guest list on the door to manage entry but please have your digital ticket available on your phone in case of any issues.

PARKING - Very limited pre-booked parking is available onsite. Please reserve via the booking page at checkout. If you live within walking distance and are able to pop over on foot then we'd encourage you to do so.

TOILETS - Limited toilet facilities are available with direct access from the outdoor area.

SEATING - You are invited to bring your own blankets and chairs to set up a picnic spot exclusive to your household/bubble. There will be designated areas for each group, spaced 2 metres apart.

REFRESHMENTS - There will be no refreshments on sale but you are encouraged to bring your own. Please ensure you take all rubbish with you after the show!

WEATHER - It's best to come prepared for all types of weather (a short burst of torrential rain didn't stop us last time!)

CHILDREN - Kids are welcome at the Busk, but we do ask parents/guardians to observe the following:

*Keep children within your household/bubble at all times to ensure that the current COVID-19 guidelines for outdoor events are met.

*Supervise youngsters at all times and take full responsibility for their safety and well being, especially as there are potential hazards on site including a pond.

*Should a child become restless, we respectfully request that you take them for a walk away from the performance area so as not to disturb the enjoyment of the rest of the audience.
