Talks & workshops will take place in our main stretch tent in the valley, and marquee on the hill. Further info will be shared with ticket holders.

Accessibility

Please note: due to the hillside location of this event, it is currently only accessible to those able to physically walk up and downhill. Please ensure you bring shoes appropriate for hiking (with good grip), and warm, comfortable clothing.

Warm Welcome

Whilst this event is rooted in Islamic epistemology, it is open and welcoming for folks of all faiths & backgrounds.

Due to the hillside location and workshop content, the preferred age is 13+. There will be no formal childcare available. Of course, we won’t be turning guests with children away, however, if you do wish to bring children, you are legally responsible for them at all times on site.

Getting Here

By Car — Car sharing highly encouraged! Free parking available on site. Please register VRN at checkout.

Train — Nearest station: Longbridge - Bolt, Uber & other taxis usually readily available from there.

Bus — 63 connects Lickey Hills to Birmingham City Centre.

Bike — cycling enthusiasts welcome! We know the Lickey Hills are a cherished site for many bike lovers in Brum.

More info about our site & getting here will be shared with ticket holders.

Staying Here

Those who wish to camp on site may set up a tent at no extra fee.

We anticipate that locals may wish to rest at home & return the next day.

Nearby hotels include: Old Rose & Crown, Bromsgrove Hotel & Spa, or you could alternatively check for Airbnbs.

If you’d like to camp, please indicate so at checkout.

Breakfast & Dinner will be offered, you may bring along snacks & food if you wish. Nearby shops include: Co-Op (4 min drive), Sainsbury’s (9 min drive).

Who Even Are You?

Khalifa’tul Ard Festival is a first-time gathering, made possible by Bahu Trust & Footsteps’ Birmingham Faiths for Eco-Action fund, granted permission under the guidance of Sheikh Mehmet Adil Sultan.

Whilst we’re immensely thankful for this opportunity, there’s still a shortfall to make this festival a reality - hence ticket sales will help us to balance & meet those costs.

This is a not-for-profit, small, family-run gathering, and we wish for communal benefit from the abundance of nature in the Lickey Hills, to connect with Source, nurture Response-Ability, make space for Reflection, Joy, Beauty, New Skills, Knowledge and Creativity in good company.

Schedule:

وَمِنَ اللَّهِ التَّوْفِيق - and success/ prosperity comes solely through God’s grace
