Hands-on health and safety training, to help build knowledge of common farming hazards and how risks can be reduced on home farms.

About this event

We look forward to welcoming you to Alren Farm for a detailed look at current farm health and safety legislation to help you learn about common farming hazards and how you can reduce risks on your own farms.

Kindly hosted by the Lightfoot family, this event is free to attend, but booking is required to secure proper catering.

Arrival from 10:30am, the event starts promptly at 11am, with refreshments and lunch being provided after the farm walk in the Stoke Climsland Social Club.

What’s happening at this event?

Farming remains one of the UK’s most dangerous professions, but there are ways that you can actively reduce the risks associated with everyday farming activities and make your farm or your family’s farm a safer place to live and work.

Our specialist health and safety advisors will lead an interactive session on general farm safety, focusing on minimising the risk on your farm by using the best safety practices.

Topics that will be covered:

- Safe handling of livestock & machinery

- General fire safety

- Public rights of way

- Latest HSE legislation and developments
