Building farm resilience through diversity
Thursday 23rd October | 12:30 pm – 3:00 pm
Penbugle Farm, St Keyne, Liskeard, PL14 4RS
Join the Next Generation Farming Group for an afternoon at Penbugle Farm, an organic mixed farm embracing diversity.
Penbugle Farm combines sheep, suckler cattle, free-range eggs and a thriving glamping enterprise to build farm resilience. We’ll explore how these enterprises work together to create long-term sustainability.
The session starts with pasties, tea and coffee, and introductions from Farm Cornwall and Penbugle’s Reuben Ridout before a farm tour to see the breadth of activity across the farm. There’ll be plenty of opportunities to ask questions, share experiences and discuss the opportunities and challenges of running multiple enterprises.
The afternoon will cover:
How to successfully integrate multiple enterprises
Lessons from running an organic system
Building connections with other farmers
🥧 Pasties, tea & coffee provided
🎟 Spaces limited — book your place today!
In partnership with Farm Cornwall, Precision Grazing and Cornish Mutual. Aimed at those aged 25–40 working in agriculture.
Please note: This is a farm tour so please do wear suitable footwear and clothing as we will be walking over rough terrain. We also kindly request that no dogs are brought along to this event.
