Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Scrappy tote bag

to

Location

Creation Mill CIC & Scrap Store, Glenesk Road, Langholm, UK

Event description

Learn to make your own fabric from tiny scraps and then use it to create a large tote bag!

Onto a plain fabric backing, we will add scraps and then a layer of sheer organza. We will then quilt the layers together to create a unique fabric! This technique will be used to create the panels for your tote bag, which you will then sew together.

Basic sewing machine knowledge is recommended to ensure you get the most out of this workshop.

Refreshments will be provided, please bring your own lunch.

These workshops are subsidised by the D&G Climate Hub as part of our Reuse, Recycle, Recreate workshops so we ask for a suggested donation to go towards our core costs. Minimum donation £10 - this workshop would normally cost £40 - pay what you can.
