Join our one-hour webinar to learn about Mission EmployAble’s Supported Internship Employability Training Programme
Discover how the 10-month programme runs from September to July
The programme combines:
Classroom learning
Practical training
Real workplace experience
Designed to build confidence, skills and pathways towards paid employment
Opportunity to ask questions during the session via chat or at the end
Training Areas
Interns take part in a wide range of learning and skills development, including:
Functional English and maths
Employability skills
Café-based training and hands-on learning
Off-site practical programmes, including:
Grounds and maintenance
Regenerative farming
Horticulture
Small animal care
Box packing
Catering and hospitality
These group sessions help develop:
Confidence
Teamwork
Transferable workplace skills
Work Placements
External work placements supported by a dedicated job coach
Usually begin in the January term
Up to 4 hours per week in a real workplace
Allows interns to:
Gain real employment experience
Apply skills alongside our café training
Locations
The programme is run out of our purpose-built training centre in Chorleywood, Hertfordshire
We welcome young people aged 18–25 with learning disabilities and an EHCP who wish to gain paid employment
Interns travel from a wide catchment area, including:
Aylesbury, Amersham, Bushey, Borehamwood, The Chalfonts, Chesham, Chorleywood, Garston, Harrow, Hatch End, Hatfield, Hemel Hempstead, Hillingdon, Marlow, Northwood, Oxhey, Pinner, Rickmansworth, St Albans, Uxbridge, Watford, Wembley and Wycombe
As well as some further afield areas
A second training site is planned for September 2027 in Amersham
