Event description

We’re really looking forward to welcoming you to Mission EmployAble and showing you what an Award Winning Supported Internship is all about- between 9 am and noon.

Our trustees and training team will be on hand to give you a guided tour of our facilities, explain how the programme works and answer any questions you may have. There will also be a short presentation showcasing how our programme helps young people age 18-25 years old with learning disabilities develop the skills and confidence they need to move into paid employment.

You’ll have the opportunity to meet our team, ask as many questions as you like, and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with a few biscuits to help settle any nerves!

Mission EmployAble is now in its seventh year, and we’re welcoming our sixth cohort of interns through a full academic year of training here at Café on the Common via our Supported Internship ( Employability Training Course )

When our interns graduate, they move into a wide range of industries, depending on where they live, their interests and their abilities. We work with each intern to help them discover the right opportunities and make informed decisions about their future.

Our Open Morning is a great opportunity to find out more, whether you’re considering a September 2027 start or looking further ahead to the following year.

Come along, ask questions and find out what happens next, what decisions you’ll need to make, and when you need to make them. We’re here to help you understand your options and feel confident about the next steps.

Some exciting recent news ; MEA won the the BBC 3 Counties Making a Difference Award on the 28h September 2026 out of 40,000 applicants.

Book to reserve your visit. Plus there'll be a warm welcome waiting for your, along with tea an coffee on arrival.
