Dark Skies Night

On a clear night in the Tarras Valley, due to low levels of light pollution, you can see a sky filled with thousands of stars, glimpse the milky way or if you’re super lucky, the Northern Lights can be visible.🔭

Come join us for a star gazing evening to learn more about the wonders of the night skies right here in Langholm, led by Hayden Goodfellow, local astronomer! 🪐💫

Although we can't guarantee the sky will be clear, we will be given a virtual tour of the universe, and hopefully the we'll be able to see some real stars too!

Refreshments will be provided. ☕

There are two ticket options to prevent the event from being inaccessible due to cost. Any donations raised will go toward the continuation of our education and engagement programme, but free tickets are available for those who want or need them!

The event will take place at Cronksbank Farmhouse (location - https://w3w.co/geology.orchids.warp ), if you need more details please get in touch! Parking is limited at the site, so please car-share where possible.

We will be based under the shelter of the barn, but please wear warm, waterproof clothes, and suitable footwear!

If you have binoculars, they can be useful for looking at the stars, otherwise we will have some pairs that can be borrowed!
