Women in tech + philanthropy

This event celebrates how women leaders are driving social impact through philanthropy, investing, volunteering, and community action. Together we’ll explore their influence as innovators and changemakers and their unique approach to leadership.

In partnership with Quartet Community Foundation, the West of England’s hub for supporting local philanthropy, we’re bringing together voices from tech and beyond to explore how women’s leadership can drive lasting social good.

The conversation will celebrate the distinct ways women embody leadership, entrepreneurship, and giving; the power of networks and collaboration; and how technology and philanthropy can work together for social good. We’ll also highlight the growing influence of women as innovators, investors, inheritors, and changemakers, and the unique opportunity for the South West to harness this energy for a more inclusive and collaborative ecosystem.

Pannelists:

1. Emily Hill, CEO and Co-founder of Ghyston  

2. Isobel Michael, Bath Women’s Fund, Southside Family Project, and NSP Impact helping charities and social organisations with fundraising, project development, and impact evaluation.

3. Laurie Felker Jones, Modern Tender - advising mission-driven founders, funders, and organisations build ventures, markets, and capital strategies that create meaningful impact at the intersection of purpose and profit.

4. Debbie Forster MBE, thought leader with 30+ years’ experience driving innovation, inclusion, and change across technology, skills, and social impact, advising leaders, boards, and organisations globally.

Panel will be chaired by

Annie Legge, Tech4Good South West, social entrepreneur and digital strategist connecting charities, social enterprises, and the tech sector to co-create ethical digital solutions and drive positive social change.

Lauren Couch, Trustee of Quartet Community Foundation, Non-Executive Director at Bristol & Bath Regional Capital, and extensive experience in SME advisory, growth finance, and corporate leadership.

The event will be held at: Ghyston, 5th Floor (West), The Programme, All Saints’ Street, Bristol, BS1 2LZ (please note, entry to the office is not through the main Programme reception entrance, if you walk in and are facing the main entrance, turn left and walk all the way down along the rainbow car park, you’ll find another smaller reception, that’s our entrance – we’ll have someone on the door making sure everyone gets in ok!
