This is not your usual event. No keynotes, no panels, no agenda decided in advance. The Tech for Good Unconference is a half-day where the people in the room decide what tech for good topics get talked about.
Whether you're a charity navigating digital change, a funder trying to understand what's really happening on the ground, a tech specialist looking to apply your skills somewhere that matters, a social entrepreneur trying to figure out your next move or a business seeking purposeful impact - this is a space built for you.
On the day, anyone can pitch a topic or question they want to explore. The group chooses what to discuss, splits into conversations, and gets into it. Past sessions have covered AI ethics, digital inclusion, sustainability, funding models, and things nobody had a name for yet. You won't know what's on the agenda until you're in the room and that's the point.
No preparation needed - just turn up. We take care of everything else. Our brilliant facilitator Lucy Hawthorne holds the session keeping things lively, making sure everyone feels comfortable, and creating the conditions for genuinely insightful conversation. It's energising, moves fast, and people always leave saying it was better than they expected.
You'll leave with:
New connections with people who get what you're trying to do
Fresh perspectives that challenge how you've been thinking
Real opportunities; collaborations, introductions, ideas worth pursuing
Practical takeaways you can actually use
Everyone is welcome - charities, funders, social enterprises, tech businesses, consultants, freelancers, and anyone who's curious about what tech can do for good.
Tickets are free for T4GSW members and £15 for non-members. Bringing someone who should be in the room? Use code UNCONFGUEST at checkout for a free guest ticket.
