Life Drawing Course

Learn the rudiments or advance your knowledge of life drawing over a 10-week evening course with Tom Winter. Running every Wednesday 7th October 2026 6pm-9pm. Last Wednesday 9th December 2026.

Easels and boards available. Please bring your own art materials to the workshop including cartridge paper A2 or larger, putty rubber and charcoal.

Spaces are limited to 10 – please book early to secure your place.

This is a class for age 18+.

Profile of the tutor:

Dorset-based artist Tom Winter (BA The Slade) has worked as an artist and tutor for the past 30 years. Specialising in oils, he also works in watercolour, graphite, and inks alongside producing prints (lino and intaglio etchings). Tom was a finalist in this year's Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year.

Alongside his own studio practice in landscape, still life and portraiture, Tom has taught life drawing for more than 25 years. He is a regular visiting tutor on the animation courses at Bournemouth University and at Arts University Bournemouth, where his teaching is renowned for its clarity, encouragement and deep understanding of the figure.

His paintings are part of many prestigious private collections including Price Waterhouse Coopers, Railtrack, and Rolling Stone, Ronnie Wood.
